Itinerary

Day 01 :
HARIDWAR - BARKOT

Himalayan Lama Travel’s representative will pick you from Haridwar. We will start the drive to Barkot. Barkot is a scenic town on the banks of river Yamuna. It’s a quaint hill town perched at an elevation of 1,220 m above sea level. Post arrival in Barkot Check In at Hotel. Overnight stay will be in hotel at Barkot.

Day 02 :
BARKOT – KHARSALI – UTTARKASHI

Early morning leave for Janki Chatti via Hanuman Chatti and arrive in Kharsali. Kharsali is the winter seat of the Yamunotri Temple. Kharsali is situated at 2,675 mts above sea level. Kharsali has the oldest Shani Dev Temple of India and the idol of Goddess Yamuna is placed at the same temple post closing of the Yamunotri Temple in winters.

Perform Pooja and Darshan of Goddess Yamuna, after Darshan and Pooja at Temple start the drive to Uttarkashi via Barkot.

The Overnight stay will be at Hotel in Uttarkashi.

Day 03 :
UTTARKASHI – MUKHBA – UTTARKASHI

Morning leave for Mukhba the Winter Home of the idols of the presiding deity Goddess Ganga post closing of the Gangotri Temple in November. A drive of 82 Kms from Uttarkashi, Mukhba is a quiet and serene village 3Kms from the beautiful town of Harshil situated at the elevation of 2,620 mts above sea level. Drive back to Uttarkashi and check in at the hotel, evening we will take you to visit Vishwanath Temple, and Shakti Temple in Uttarkashi, Overnight stay at the hotel.

 UTTARKASHI: Situated at the bank of river Bhagirathi. The Temple of Vishwanath is located here where a massive iron trident is erected.

 NOTE :- If you want to visit Harshil , Apple Orchards / Gartang Gali then a day can be added in Mukhba.

Day 04 :
UTTARKASHI - UKHIMATH

Early morning start the drive to Ukhimath. Ukhimath holds an important place as a pilgrimage site.  The Omkareshwar Temple in Ukhimath serves as the winter seat of the Kedarnath, where the idol of Lord Kedarnath is relocated during the winter months post closing of the Kedarnath Temple.

Overnight stay will be in Ukhimath hotel.

Day 05 :
OMKARESHWAR TEMPLE DARSHAN & DRIVE TO JOSHIMATH

Early morning head to Omkareshwar Temple and do the Darshan of the Kedarnath idols and other Panch Kedar i.e. Madhmaheshwar. Later drive to Joshimath via Rudraprayag. Evening do the Darshan of Narshingh Temple if time allows.

The overnight stay will be in Joshimath hotel.

NOTE:- If you wish to Visit Tungnath or Trijuginarayan Temple then a day can be added here before departing to Joshimath.

Day 06 :
JOSHIMATH – PANDUKESHWAR AND DRIVE TO RUDRAPRAYAG

Morning leave for Pandukeshwar En-route at Joshimath visit Narsingh Temple and Adi Shankracharaya Math. Drive will go via Vishnu Prayag where the confluence of river Alaknanda & Dhauli Ganga is present. Do the Darshan of Pandukeshwar Temple situated at 1,920 Metres ASL also known as Yogdhyan Badri Temple named after the Pandav King. It is said that the Pandavas after victory thou emotionally scattered post battle came to the Himalayas. And it was here that they handed over their capital Hastinapur to King Parikshit and took up penance before seeking out the highway to heaven. The importance of Yogdhyan Badri is immense and the sanctum has an image of Lord in meditative posture. The Village is named after the King Pandu who meditated at this place to lift a curse of a sage and was blessed by Lord.

Pandukeshwar village is as old as Badrinath Temple and has copper plates which authenticates the history of the temple as well as the Katyuri Chand rulers of Garhwal and Kumaon who issued them as far back as the 4th or 5th Century AD.

 Later drive to Rudraprayag. The overnight stay will be in Rudraprayag hotel.

NOTE:- If you wish to visit Auli also known as Skiing capital of India then a day can be added in the itinerary.

Day 07 :
RUDRAPRAYAG - HARIDWAR

Morning drive to Haridwar, En-route visits the Confluence of Bhagirathi and Alaknanda River which is called Devprayag. If time allows do some sightseeing in Rishikesh – Laxman Jhula, Ram Jhula. Then continue drive towards Haridwar, on reaching we will drop to your place in Haridwar. Drop at Haridwar Railway Station by evening or early as per guest train / bus schedule.
